Cultural, Show in Ax-les-Thermes
  • Insomnia, a hybrid project: a circus-theater piece with text, and a prelude that blends contemporary-urban choreography
    and lyrical song.

  • insomnia is a transdisciplinary project in which we explore metamorphosis and identity
through the prism of our ever-changing bodies in a changing world. Inspired by
authors Paul B. Preciado, Octavia Butler and Donna Haraway, we'll use movement and voice to share

voice to share stories of trans-formation, aging and becoming.

Donna Haraway encourages us to look deeply at how stories are (re)told,
and to move away from a human-centric vision of narration and performance, towards
composite stories, with the potential to dream desirable futures, for ourselves and for the planet.
and for the planet.insomnia, a hybrid project, is directed by Frieda Gerson and is de-composed into several bodies: a circus-theater piece
a circus-theater piece with text, and a prelude that combines contemporary-urban choreography
(Amine Adouama) and lyrical singing (Marie-Christiane Nishimwe).

The dramaturgy of the whole and the text of the theatrical body are elaborated with the artists/authors Ada Günther and Gabriel_le Taillefert, and the two pieces are articulated together like a multiple-exposure photograph.
The new magic completes the realization of the insomnia project, creating images and
to bring these spaces of ir-reality onto the stage.
