The Saladou farm

  • Breeding of Merino sheep, wool and meat.

  • Baptiste Miller and Sophie Pluquet have a flock of Merino ewes that graze from April to December on the Tabe massif around the village of Appy.

    In summer, they go up to the mountain pastures above the village.

    The wool from their flock is processed at the Niaux spinning mill in Ariège. Merino wool is renowned for its softness and fineness. They offer a wide range of knitting yarns.

    The lambs are raised with their mothers and eat mainly grass, which gives them a delicious taste.
