Astronomy by day and night with Philippe...
Philippe, who has been passionate about astronomy since the age of 10, has been working as a scientific animator at the Nîmes Planetarium for over 22 years.

Philippe is regularly published in specialized magazines, and the sky holds no secrets for him!

So take advantage of his telescopes to discover planets, nebulae and galaxies, and leave with incredible images of the sky.

As an astrophotographer, he uses his images to create articles and photo albums, and gives a number of services in the valley.

90-minute astro lectures on a variety of themes:
-Journey through the solar system
- The life and death of stars
- From the Earth to the Big Bang
- Can the sky fall?
- The mysteries of Mars

Night astronomy: (limited to 20 people max.) Above Goulier village or at the Port de Lers, come and take advantage of a particularly bright 360mm telescope open at F/4, and discover nebulae, galaxies and the planets Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn.
- Images taken with a digital camera specialized in astronomical imaging, with special filters for nebulae.
- Tour of the sky and identification of the North and South constellations.

Daytime astronomy: (limited to 20 people max.):At Vicdessos, come and observe the sun and its flames using a special 204mm-diameter telescope to isolate the H-alpha line (light emitted by solar protuberances and the chromosphere, rich in magnetic currents).
- Visual observation of sunspot groups and solar flares.
- Capture images using an appropriate camera.
- Concepts of light spectrum and light decomposition, transformation of matter into energy, wavelengths, distances, space/time shifts.

Day/night observations not suitable for children under 10.

You can access the images obtained during these observations on the photoastro.com website, in the Days / Evenings ASTRO section.
