A beautiful walk in the heart of the Ax 3 domaines resort, with a magnificent view over the Mérens-les-Vals valley. Not very difficult, it's an ideal walk for a family with children.
Access: From Ax les Thermes, head for the Ax 3 Domaines resort. Departure is from Place du Komo.
- Guidebook with maps/step-by-stepDeparture point. Opposite the info point chalet, turn left. Just before the hairpin bend, follow the road to the right, passing under a few houses: this becomes a piste (piste des 3 Jasses).
After 3km (signposted), leave the track for a path that descends steeply into the valley, then follows the left bank of the Estagnols stream downhill.
This leads to the grassy Campels trail, which takes you back to the resort.
