(D/A) - Leaving the Tourist Office: walk up avenue Delcassé towards the church, then straight ahead on avenue Adolphe Authier for 200 m. Turn right on rue Saint Udaut, towards the black bridge (over the Lauze). Follow the street to N°4, the Teich hydroelectric power station.

0h15 - Go straight ahead along the impasse Saint-Udaut for 100 m, turn left up the stairs and follow the Chemin d'Orval under the Transpyrénéen viaduct and near the oratory of Saint Udaut. Follow the yellow and blue markings. Follow the signs for the Parc d'Espagne and the espace de loisirs, left on the right, and arrive at the Orval housing estate. At a fire hydrant, follow the lane for 50 m and turn left up the steep, winding Chemin de Loubisaüt to Lac de Campauleil.

1h00 - View of Lac de Campauleil, its manor house and dam. Turn left onto the Chemin du Plana, which climbs steeply at first to reach an electricity pylon, the high point of the walk (alt. 860m) with a magnificent view over the Oriège Valley.

1h15 - 150m further on, turn left onto chemin de la Fount aux Pigeons. The path winds downhill through former fields now conquered by a natural forest to join the Entresserre road.

1h45 - Turn left onto a tarmac road to reach the Entresserre cross, with its fine view over Ax. Continue downhill past a fountain with an old red marble bathtub from the Thermes, back onto rue saint Udaut and the path you took on the outward journey.

2h00 - Return to the tourist office, your starting point.
