Stroll along the gentle grassy slopes designed for cross-country skiing. Halfway along the trail, take a thirst-quenching break at the Chioula refuge, with its panoramic views stretching as far as the high border peaks.

Access: From Ax-les-Thermes, take the D613 towards Col du Chioula. Once at the Col, park in the parking lot on your left.

This balcony itinerary gives you a front-row seat to enjoy the scenery, so different on either side of the ridge.
