  • It's a lovely, straightforward walk. The pond area, which can be circumnavigated in about 30 minutes, is shady and perfect for a stroll, a family picnic or a spot of fishing.

  • Access: From Quérigut, take the Formiguères road for about 3.5km to Chalets des Hares. Turn right onto the Bosc Negre forest road for about 6km. You'll come to a small parking area where you can leave your car.

    (D/A) The trail starts via an old forestry taffy and climbs steeply for 10-15 minutes. You reach a clearing. Turn right through a damp, muddy area.

    0h20 - RUISSEAU DE L'ÉTANG. The path is flat and leads to the ruisseau de l'étang, the last obstacle before you reach the pond.
