A charming church nestled in the shade on a ledge of the Tabe mountain, from which the legendary summit of St. Bartholomew can be seen leaping away and seemingly touching.
The church of Saint Julien (or Saint Saturnin), with its imposing Cluniac bell tower, has been a listed monument since March 22, 1907. It's a small building with a single barrel-vaulted nave and a transept opening onto three apses, the middle one being larger and more elongated.

This church is closed to the public. To open it on an occasional basis, please send a request by e-mail to
mairie.axiat@orange.fr or by telephone on 05-61-64-40-04 (Wednesday afternoons).
