(D/A) From Tour Saint Michel (490m), go 60m down Rue des Remparts to the south towards Mazel Vieil. On the left, the path winds between the houses. Head east into the Bois de la Bessède. After 30', the Bassède path turns left into a pleasant oak grove with boxwood, and the slope becomes gentler. A flat spot and a short 30-metre descent take you uphill.

1h00 - COLE DE BAZECH (810m). The path passes the junction with the Roujéro path to Bompas (795m) and climbs a little, skirting the tall pines on the right. After the descent, a ruin warns you of the proximity of the chapel.

1h25 - CHAPELLE D'ARNAVE (722m). Take the path heading south again. 100m after the Pédissol orri, a fork to the right takes you into a beautiful beech grove dotted with box trees, from which you emerge after a few steep switchbacks.

2h10 - COL D'USSAT (859m). A veritable crossroads of 3 valleys, with variations on Cazenave, Ussat and Ornolac. Choose Ussat for a bird's-eye view. Follow the track down to the meadows and orchards of Lauzinal (694m). Follow the grassy track to Ussat d'En Haut. Now continue on the road. You reach the village center (2h50). Take the D723 down to Tarascon, which you reach via Pré Lombard. Then follow the D723 up a one-way road to the old town.

3h40 - A - You'll arrive at the Porte d'Espagne and come to the Tour Saint Michel.
