(D/A) Take rue de la mairie. After a left-hand bend, it takes you to the town hall. Pass it and approach the Saleix. The path skirts the Saleix bridge and stays on the left bank. You soon find the path (yellow markings) which starts off to the right. Make your way above the orchards. The path gradually leads you back. You've reached the edge of the village. First turn left, then take the lane on the right of the Fount de Matché and straight on to the main street of Saleix.
0h35 - RUE CARRIERO (890m). Turn left. Shortly afterwards, at the Fount de la Serre, the path dips to the left. It leads down to the valley floor, which in the distance joins the pastures and reaches the Couserans via the Port de Saleix, with Aulus-les-bains as the first stopover. For the time being, you'll reach the washhouse via the Chemin des Narques. Cross the stream and descend to the left. On the right bank, you'll head downhill towards Auzat. Some 5 minutes later, the path appears to start level, but shifts to the left, more towards the stream.
Soon there's a track: stay below it, on the path that descends to the left. It veers further left, leaving behind a path that looks like it's heading for the old factory.
The path becomes stony. Go down to the right, and after 12m the path returns to the left towards Saleix. A series of stairs; they continue to the right but go left towards Saleix towards rue du Fort. You come to Rue de l'Eglise, which you follow to Place de la République, where a fountain awaits you. Cross the Saleix again, and follow rue de la République...
