The Office de Tourisme des Pyrénées Ariégéoises offers Internet users the opportunity, through its website or other digital media, to post an opinion on the various facilities or activities in its territory.
The present charter defines the rules the Office de Tourisme has adopted to control the opinions posted by Internet users and ensure compliance with current legislation regarding abuse of freedom of expression.
As a result, comments posted on the Tourist Office website are subject to a right of reply on the part of service providers and to moderation (before publication) by Tourist Office staff.
It is reminded that review authors are responsible for the comments they write. They are bound to respect the legal and regulatory provisions in force, in particular those that repress abuses of freedom of expression, and as such will ensure that their comments do not include, in particular:
- racist, xenophobic, anti-Semitic, homophobic, negationist, pornographic, paedophilic, child pornographic… comments.
- abusive, defamatory, or invasive of privacy, and more generally the personality rights of anyone
- offensive to human dignity
- inciting violence, suicide, terrorism, use, the manufacture or distribution of illegal substances
- inciting or glorifying the commission of crimes or offenses, in particular crimes against humanity
- infringing on the intellectual property rights of third parties (in particular articles, works), for which the user does not have the necessary authorizations from the authors and/or beneficiaries
Any comments containing such content that do not comply with these provisions will be deleted. Users are also reminded that if their comment is of an illicit nature, data enabling them or their computer to be identified may be communicated to the judicial authority, if the latter so requires, in accordance with article 6-II of the law of June 21, 2004.
The Tourist Office also reserves the right to delete:
- messages unrelated to the tourism object to which they are attached (off-topic),
- aggressive comments, direct attacks and insults between Internet users,
- name-based attacks on the Tourist Office or its members
- messages of an overtly advertising nature.
- Reactions written entirely in capital letters or whose meaning is rendered uncertain by abbreviations or language errors (spelling, vocabulary, syntax) will not be accepted.
In order to guarantee the traceability of reviews submitted, all authors must identify themselves by name and e-mail address. This address will be verified in particular when the comment submitted is likely to be challenged by the service provider concerned.

Negative reviews (less than 3/5) are published within 3 days. During this period, the service provider concerned can express his right of reply.
In view of the lifespan of a review, and in order to encourage service providers to take part in the interactive approach, the Tourist Office gives itself the option of freely deleting certain reviews that are more than six months old.
