Situated at the crossroads of several valleys and the confluence of two rivers, the charming little town of Tarascon-sur-Ariège boasts a rich historical, architectural and landscape heritage that you're about to discover. First, you'll visit the Sainte-Quitterie district, with its church, shopping streets and bourgeois houses. You'll then cross the Ariège river, which divides the town in two, to reach the historic center, the upper town. As you stroll along its narrow streets, you'll discover half-timbered houses, cutlery, squares and fountains. Climb up to the 18th-century Castella tower for a magnificent panoramic view of the town and its surroundings. Take a trip back to the Middle Ages with the Porte d'Espagne, the Tour Saint-Michel and the Eglise de la Daurade.
