In the land of the peddlers (26')
Around the middle of the 19th century, a few poor but not miserable peasant families from the village of Suc in the upper Vicdessos valley decided to become "chinaïre" peddlers.

At the end of autumn, after gathering potatoes and bringing in hay, they set off
to the high plateaux of the Auvergne to go farm-to-farm selling haberdashery, eyeglasses, devotional objects and costume jewelry.
In the company of a strange storyteller, we follow the journey of a couple of "sucatel" to the south of France.

In Génat, our grandmothers awaited their annual visit with curiosity and impatience.
