The Shrinking Man, a new adaptation of Richard Matheson's cult novel, follows Paul, an ordinary man who divides his life between his shipbuilding business, his wife Elise, and their daughter Mia. While out at sea, Paul encounters a strange and unexplained meteorological phenomenon. From then on, Paul shrank inexorably, with science unable to explain why or help him in any way. When, by accident, he finds himself trapped in his own cellar, only a few centimeters tall, he has to fight to survive in this mundane but perilous environment. In the course of this experiment, Paul comes face to face with himself and his humanity, and tries to answer the big questions of life. The Shrinking Man is both an initiation story and a great adventure film.
