Accessibility declaration
The Office de Tourisme des Pyrénées Ariégeoises undertakes to make its internet, intranet, extranet and software packages accessible (and its mobile applications and digital street furniture) in accordance with article 47 oflawno. 2005-102 of 11 February 2005.
This declaration of accessibility applies to https://www.pyrenees-ariegeoises.com/.
State of compliance
The Office de Tourisme des Pyrénées Ariégeoises https://www.pyrenees-ariegeoises.com/ is not compliant with the RGAA.
Test results
The compliance audit carried out by the Silaos agency reveals that 31% of the criteria of the RGAA version 4.1.2 are met.
Content not accessible
Non-compliances
Images :
Several informative images do not have text alternatives or relevant descriptions (criteria 1.1, 1.3, 1.6). This prevents blind or partially-sighted people using a screen reader from understanding the content conveyed by these visuals. Certain decorative images are not correctly ignored by assistive technologies (criterion 1.2), which unnecessarily overloads voice reading. Finally, image captions are not always associated with their corresponding visuals (criterion 1.9), creating a break in meaning. These shortcomings severely limit the comprehension of content for blind users.
Frames :
The frames (i-frames) integrated into certain pages do not have an explicit title (criterion 2.1). This makes it difficult for screen reader users to identify their function. It also prevents efficient keyboard navigation, as the framed areas are not clearly announced.
Colour :
Several elements rely solely on colour to convey information (criterion 3.1), which poses a problem for people who are colour blind or partially sighted. In addition, the contrast between text and its background is sometimes insufficient (criterion 3.2), as is that of interface components and informative graphic elements (criterion 3.3). These shortcomings greatly reduce the site’s legibility for users with low vision or consulting the site in difficult lighting conditions.
Links :
Some links do not have explicit headings (criteria 6.1 and 6.2). People using screen readers or quickly exploring the page using the keyboard cannot then anticipate the destination of the link. These errors complicate navigation and understanding of the site’s structure.
Scripts :
Some of the scripts used on the site are not fully compatible with assistive technologies (criterion 7.1). In addition, several interactive components cannot be controlled from the keyboard (criterion 7.3), which makes navigation difficult for people who cannot use a mouse. Other scripts cause context changes without warning the user (criterion 7.4), or display status messages that are not detectable by screen readers (criterion 7.5). These shortcomings are detrimental to the autonomy of blind users and people with reduced mobility.
Mandatory elements :
Some page titles lack relevance (criterion 8.6), making it difficult to understand the content or the section of the site being visited. Other HTML elements are used for purely decorative purposes (criterion 8.9), creating a structure that is misleading for assistive technologies. These problems affect the perception of the hierarchy of information and orientation within the site.
Information structuring :
The general structuring of the content shows a number of shortcomings: poorly hierarchised headings, lack of logical structure, or lists that are not properly marked up (criteria 9.1, 9.2, 9.3). These shortcomings make navigation more difficult for screen reader users, who often navigate by headings or lists. They also hinder people with cognitive impairments or concentration difficulties, for whom a clear structure is essential to understanding.
Presentation of information:
Some content becomes illegible or incoherent when style sheets are deactivated (criteria 10.2 and 10.3), which contravenes the expected robustness of HTML code. Text size cannot always be increased by up to 200% without loss of information (criterion 10.4), penalising the visually impaired. Keyboard focus is not visible (criterion 10.7), making it impossible to know which element is selected when navigating with the keyboard. In addition, the site does not guarantee fluid consultation on small screens or in different orientations (criteria 10.11), or the possibility of freely adjusting text spacing (criterion 10.12). Some additional content appearing on hover or focus is not controllable (criteria 10.13 and 10.14), which creates obstacles for people using a keyboard or screen reader.
Forms :
Form fields do not always have visible or correctly associated labels (criteria 11.1, 11.2, 11.4). This prevents screen readers from announcing the function of each field. Some logical groupings of fields are missing (criterion 11.5), making entry confusing. Button labels are not always self-explanatory (criterion 11.9), and error checking and correction mechanisms are sometimes poorly implemented (criteria 11.10 and 11.11). Finally, the fields do not always allow automatic auto-filling (criterion 11.13). These problems directly affect the ability of visually or cognitively impaired people to complete and submit forms independently.
Navigation:
Access to the main areas of the site is not fully optimised. Header, navigation and content areas are not always accessible via skip links or keyboard shortcuts (criteria 12.6 and 12.7). The tab order is not always logical (criterion 12.8), and some sections create “keyboard traps” where the user gets stuck (criterion 12.9). These malfunctions make navigation particularly difficult for people who only use the keyboard or a screen reader.
Consultation :
Downloadable documents do not have accessible versions (criterion 13.3), preventing them from being read by assistive technologies. In addition, moving or flashing content is not always controllable (criterion 13.8), which may cause visual discomfort or even photosensitive epileptic seizures. The site does not always guarantee that complex gestures can be replaced by simple interactions (criterion 13.10), which limits mobile use for people with reduced mobility.
