Prehistory Stay

Kindergarten to CM2

The “heritage class” stays at the Parc de la Préhistoire de Tarascon-sur-Ariège are organized into 2 themed modules that bring together fun and educational activities around key topics: Module 1: prehistoric art or Module 2: life during prehistory

The aim of this stay is to enable children to delve deeper and understand prehistory through the Upper Paleolithic period. At the Parc de la Préhistoire, they will discover the origins of art as well as the Magdalenian way of life through reconstructions, participatory workshops and guided tours.

Program

The first morning of each module features a personalized welcome introducing the Park, its structures and the content of the stay. A slide show outlines the general framework of prehistory: chronology, man, the environment, and presents the chosen theme.

The program for each module is designed to offer activities that adapt to the length of the stay (1 to 5 days). Some of these activities can be repeated and extended on longer stays.
We will then draw up a schedule that is mindful of pedagogical logic.

All activities developed in this special context of “Heritage Classes” are participative and accompanied by general explanations. We will take care to adapt materially and pedagogically to each age level.

We will take care to carry out the planning of your stay, for your greatest satisfaction.
