Le cochon du Madres farmhouse inn welcomes you for traditional, convivial meals. You'll find homemade products on your plate, from bread to dessert. You'll also have the chance to taste regional products such as wine and cheese.
The menu is unique and changes daily according to mood and season.
Example of menu that could be served to you:
*Starters: House specialties or charcuterie platter
*Main course: Roast pork with porcini mushroom sauce and sautéed potatoes
*Before dessert: Tomme des Pyrénées from fromagerie du Madres
*Dessert: seasonal fruit tart or raw milk flan
Patricia and Christian are always ready to listen, so don't hesitate to drop them a line.
At the auberge, you can have lunch or dinner, but it's also possible to have breakfast with a fork.
During the meal, you'll have the opportunity to chat with the farmers and learn more about the farm and the surrounding area.
The aim is to re-establish a close relationship with customers.
As part of its commitment to sustainable tourism, the farm is involved in a number of initiatives:
*Fully home-cooked meals, with 80% of products from the farm.
*Local players are brought to life through the products served during meals.
*Visitors are taught how to behave in the mountains, and how to respect the flora and fauna by providing guides.
*Waste sorting and encouraging guests to do the same.
From the hostel, you can take a 30-minute to 3-hour walk along the village's irrigation canals and farmlands.
You'll see pigs, calves, cows, sheep and horses. One more reason to come to the farm.
