Ax Animation

Ax Animation is an EPA (régie culturelle) operating in the village of Ax-les-Thermes (1,200 inhabitants) and the CCHA, located in the Ariège department in the Occitanie region of France.
Its primary aim is to organize cultural and festive events of all kinds. It also manages the casino complex, which includes a cinema, theater, kitchens and multi-purpose hall.

The Ax Animation team is made up of four full-time employees, a President, a Vice-President, seven administrators and some thirty super-volunteers who ensure that our major events take place in the best possible conditions!

- Ciném'Ax: a program of Art & Essais films added to the existing program of mainstream films.

- Live entertainment: an annual program of concerts and multi-disciplinary shows in theatres and public spaces.

- Support for the creation of live shows: artists are hosted in "creative residencies" to assist them in their research, writing and production of their shows.

- Support for local associations: implementation of inter-association cooperation, either through logistical support or the creation of partnerships with local associations, notably with the organization of the Forum des Associations.

The ambition is to lay the foundations for an original, coherent and sustainable cultural policy, likely to enrich the range of assets of a territory dedicated to tourism.
