This magnificent château of course represents the history of France, national history and the history of the local community of Les Cabannes.
Karina and her family are honored to make their contribution to the eight hundred year history of this château and to its restoration. Château de Gudanes, at least in its original form as a fortress, dates back to the 13th century. The property and its château belonged to the de Salles family for many centuries.
However, the castle as we know it today, as a true neoclassical chateau, was extensively renovated and built in the 1740s by Louis Gaspard de Salles, known as the King of the Pyrenees.
Karina and her family, with their private funds, are gradually renovating the various rooms: salon musique, salon de printemps, Grand Vestibule, Les escaliers, Les chambres: Marie de Lordat, Marie Louise La Chapelle, Olympes de Gouges, le grand vestibule, la salle d'archéologie, la cuisine renaissance.
