3 permanent exhibition rooms cover topics such as pastoralism, industrialization (Rancié iron mine and Pechiney aluminum history), industrial decline, and the evolution towards tourism.
Archaeology is also covered, with a presentation of excavations at the Château de Montréal-de-Sos in Olbier.
The Maison des Patrimoines is also the starting point for a number of self-guided and guided tours, including the Château de Montréal-de-Sos, the Chemin de l'aluminium, and the Mémoires d'Izourt trail to the Izourt dam.
The Maison des Patrimoines is also the Maison du Parc naturel régional des Pyrénées Ariégeoises.
