Sainte-Marthe de Vernaux is a Romanesque church located below the village of Vernaux, where a convent once stood.
Listed as a historic monument in 1910, this modest chapel was built from "tuff" (a light, porous rock formed from limestone concretions deposited in springs), a light but solid material that can be worked without difficulty and is abundant in the area.
