Shiatsu is a Japanese technique, meaning "finger pressure". Its origins lie in Kampô, traditional Chinese medicine and Western medicine.
Touch to restore balance, listen, breathe and feel.
Maxime's wish: "Helping people to feel better necessarily involves my own well-being. I'm a person who evolves, hopes and takes time. If for a moment I can bring my fellow man what he needs through Shiatsu, then I feel happy."
Practice:
Pressure, stretching and mobilization are used to rebalance the body.
It stimulates the body's ability to heal itself.
It can be performed on a Futon, massage table or chair.
Listening:
Touch is adapted to the individual and his or her needs. It can be deep for muscular work, or light to soothe the nervous system.
The important thing is to listen to the person's body, sensations and emotions.
This makes it an inherently benevolent and powerful technique.
Pressure is applied directly to clothing, and no oil is required.
