The Consuls' House

  • A historic site in the heart of Vicdessos

  • Built over 400 years ago, the house was first a public building (prison, justice of the peace, town hall), then a private building (butcher's shop, hotel-restaurant), and was for over 200 years, in the 16th and 18th centuries, the meeting place of the 4 consuls and their 24 political advisors who administered, until the Revolution, all the "parishes" making up what is now the canton of Vicdessos.
    It now houses three exhibition rooms.
