From Ax-les-Thermes, take the route des corniches and its exceptional view of the Pyrenees. Descend the lacets de Verdun before tackling the famous 16km climb at 8% before the reward: the arrival on the Plateau de Beille and its 180° view.
From Ax-les-Thermes station, take the D44 towards Ignaux, one of the first villages on the Corniche route. You'll branch off onto the D20 before heading downhill on the D120 to Verdun and Les Cabannes. Once you've reached Les Cabannes, head for Plateau de Beille on the D522.
