1 – I want to go to the ski resorts: Ax 3 Domaines, Ascou, Goulier, Beille, Chioula, or to Andorra, how can I find out about road conditions?
I contact Info route Ariège by phone at 05.61.02.75.75 or the Info route Ariège website, or consult the bison futé website

I contact the resort’s daycare center to book as soon as possible, reservations are mandatory and limited in number of places.

In Tarascon, in bar-restaurants, at the MJC, at the Tourist Office, at the library, at the local initiative space…
In Donezan, in Quérigut at the Tourist Office
5 – I have to go to the Ariege Pyrenees, I don’t know the weather and temperatures depending on the season, what clothes will I take?
Before I leave, I find out about the weather and temperatures so that I can best prepare the contents of my suitcase. I’ll take a proper outfit for an outing to the Casino and a swimsuit for the Couloubret Baths.
6 – I’m coming in winter, I’m coming in summer, if I forget my equipment (hiking boots, baby carrier, boots, snow chains…) can I find any for hire or for sale at your merchants?
You’ll of course find the equipment you need for your vacation at some of our merchants and equipment hire companies.
7 – It’s very hot, which hotels have air conditioning?
For this, I consult the Tourist Office website, “hotels” section, but be aware that in mountain valleys, temperatures during the night drop unlike in some French regions or in the city.
8 – I want to come on vacation to the Ariege Pyrenees, but I don’t want to take my car. How can I still enjoy my stay?
It’s possible to get around by train and bus, and you can even get to Andorra!
There’s a cable car linking the center of Ax-les-Thermes to the foot of the Ax 3 Domaines resort (10-minute ride) open in July and August and in winter during the ski season. Contact the Tourist Office to find out the days and times of these transports.
9 – Do I need my identity papers during my stay?
Yes, basically, papers are compulsory. In addition, you’ll need to show proof of identity or passport when you go to Andorra, when you rent equipment, when you go to the Casino, to prove your children’s ages when you buy ski passes, tickets for the Couloubret Spa and summer swimming pool… Students, don’t forget your card, which is essential for obtaining a reduced rate!
10 – I’d like to know about the program of events, activities, cinema…?
A few days before my departure, I check the Tourist Office website, and on the day of my arrival I pick up the detailed program for the week.
11 – Why aren’t children under 5 admitted to the Bains du Couloubret?
Contrary to popular belief, it’s not because of the thermal water, which is used in ENT spa treatments from the age of 3. Les Bains du Couloubret is a space dedicated above all to relaxation and well-being. The facilities are not designed for young children: with a 1.30 m pool, water jets, whirlpool baths, sauna and hammam, the accompanying parent would not benefit from access. For a more pragmatic reason, the Les Bains insurance company refuses to take responsibility for any damage, caused or suffered, by young customers.
