The Compagnie Fées et Gestes will celebrate its 20th anniversary in 2026!!! That year, CHICAGO will celebrate 50 years of creation and 30 years of uninterrupted success! This will be a great opportunity to join forces with 2 other local structures, dear to our hearts, and create our own version of this great Broadway Musical!!!! The show will be produced by UN BRIN DE SENS (Otmane Abdesselam) in partnership with Fées et Gestes and ACAMA (Anaïs Marin). The show, featuring a mix of amateurs and professionals on stage (accompanied by an orchestra), will come to fruition at the end of a year-long course due to open in Tarascon sur Ariège in September 2025.
But now it's time for the first workshop! It will take place on December 7 and 8, 2024, and will be led by Anaïs Marin and Esther Candaës. This is a trial run, so there's no obligation to attend next year's classes or to take part in the show! The workshop is open to everyone, provided they are at least physically fit. However, a little amateur experience in dance, singing or theater is recommended. We always begin each part of the workshop with warm-ups to discover your body, breathing and voice, and how they all work together. Then we'll move on to exploration and games, the watchword being to let go, have fun and experiment without any judgment or idea of "success". Then we'll get down to learning an excerpt from the musical "Chicago" in French, with solo phrases (no obligation), choruses, choreography, characters and how it all comes together!
And of course, if you come, it's because you love musicals! Or that you're curious to discover this universe :)
