Caving through the Vicdessos cave... A small river meanders over black marble, veined with white quartz, ending in a natural slide.

The magnificent grotte de Vicdessos in Ariège (near Tarascon), with its variety of possible routes, roped or unroped, is one of the finest introductions to caving in the Pyrenees. We'll join an underground canyon punctuated by small waterfalls and beautiful galleries beneath the Olbier rock mountain. This caving tour through the heart of the Vicdessos cave is accessible to children aged 12 and over. A small river meanders through black marble veined with white quartz, ending in a natural slide like an underground aqualand. Sensations and a change of scenery guaranteed! The Grotte de Vicdessos is one of the finest caving spots in the Ariège.
