Parking du village, 09310 Larcat
The Way of the Cross and commemorative chapel bear witness to the cholera epidemic that struck the Haute-Ariège region in 1854. This easy "pilgrimage", with its many points of interest, offers an exceptional panorama of the mountains.
Access from: head for Larcat, a village above Les Cabannes. At the village entrance, follow the road up to the left of the recycling bins. At the next crossroads, turn right and park in the parking lot with the wrought-iron cross.

(D/A) - Follow the road up towards the village. Turn left onto chemin de Mole between a small calvary and the "Fontaine de dessus". After 50 m, turn right onto the path that climbs up through the meadows to a crossroads.

0h20 - Crossroads. Turn left onto the path that runs along the side of the hill and takes around 20 minutes to reach Col Dolent.

1h00 - Col Dolent. Follow the path of the cross to the right, which soon dominates the village, up to the Saint-Barthélémy chapel (1,236 m).

1h40 - Chapel. Walk around the chapel to reach the orientation table and admire the view. Return to the sanctuary and turn your back on it. Take the path that plunges right into the woods (be careful, it's a steep descent). Leaving the wood, the path veers right at the edge, enters the trees again and leaves them for good, winding through the mountain before returning to the crossroads encountered on the way up. Descend to the village.

2h30 - Return to starting point
