La cristallerie , atelier Broll, Glass designers
In the heart of the Ariege Pyrenees, in the village of Le Pla, you'll find La Cristallerie Beranek. This 19th-century building is powered by a water mill. Over a period of thirty-five years, this singular expertise has given rise to luxurious cut-crystal dinner services. In 1985, with no apprentices to continue the trade, the Cristallerie closed its doors. Today, Anna and Ramon are seeking to promote the region's industrial and craft heritage by rehabilitating this forgotten space. The aim of this project is to breathe new life into this special place by launching their own glassmaking workshop.
The Chambre des Métiers et de l'artisanat d'Occitanie (Occitanie Chamber of Trades and Crafts) promotes arts and crafts through its "Route des Métiers d'art".
The Broll workshop is referenced there, in recognition of the quality of its work.
