Meet the horses, then enjoy a shared picnic in the mountain pastures (please bring your own food) before heading back down.
In a small group, spend half a day to three-quarters of a day exploring the Mérens horses on summer pasture. Take the time to breathe, reconnect with yourself and nature, and learn more about our local, small-herd horse breed and pastoralism from two passionate experts: the Mérens de la Vallée breeding farm and Pyren’Equi’me, an equine coach. Meet in the village of Aston early in the morning, carpool to the summer pasture, enjoy a welcome coffee, then take a short walk to the herd. Meet the horses, then enjoy a shared picnic on the mountain pasture (please bring your own lunch) before heading back down. Whether you’re coming alone, with friends, as a couple, or as a family with children ages 7 or 8 and up… Good physical condition is a must!
