OCCITAN POLYPHONIC SINGING
La Mal Coiffée speaks out against all forms of domination—colonial, national, economic, and media-driven...With its polyphonic singing and percussion, and the Occitan language—ever resilient, ever melodious—the group proclaims its solidarity and draws inspiration from popular movements of emancipation and resistance around the world. The voices surge forth without musical embellishment,
from the very depths of silence, or—gaining in intensity—blend with fiery rhythmic beats and instrumental vibrations.
. KOWAI MONO > Toulouse
ELECTRO-POP CONCERT
Kowai Mono (mitasa) means, in Japanese, “to look through one’s fingers at something frightening.”
This duo, Sadako, is inspired by the film “The Ring,” a Japanese classic of the genre. Mayumi Nishizaki on vocals and Emily Mener on keyboards will therefore undertake the unique task of making you dance and sing… out of fear.
