A SONG FOR MY LAND
By Mauricio Albornoz Iniesta
Ramiro Lezcano, a music teacher in a rural region of Argentina, is horrified to discover that planes are spraying pesticides near schools, endangering the health of his students. In response, he and the children compose songs to draw attention to the problem, but their initiative faces strong resistance from the local community. To make their protest heard, Ramiro decides to organize a concert in an open field: an “environmental Woodstock.”
Outdoor screening (under the pavilion in the casino park), followed by a discussion.
